If you’re fitting a water pump and using a micro-switched tap, the tap will have two wires (sometimes black and brown, but check with the tap supplier). Do not confuse this with positive and negative! As the term “Micro-switch, suggests, the wires are to operate the tap's internal switch. Therefore, you should run a live (positive) cable from the pump switch of the 12-volt control panel and connect it to one of the wires from the tap. The second wire goes to the water pump live terminal, and the negative terminal on the 12-volt water pump is the only one that needs to be earthed. On the Reich water pump, the brown wire is positive and the blue wire is negative (earth/ground).
